One of our favorite things about summer is the availability of fresh fruits and vegetables, which can be found at many great farmer’s markets that pop up in and around Harlem.
We love green markets because we can find super-fresh fruit, vegetables and even excellent baked goods – and usually have a chance to mingle with neighbors and the farmers or bakers themselves.
Here are a few of our favorites in Harlem:
Morningside Park Farmers’ Market
110th Street and Manhattan Avenue
Sponsored by Friends of Morningside Park, the Morningside Park Farmers’ Market was founded in 2005 and is open every Saturday this summer from 9am until 5pm. This great farmers’ market offers everything from fruits and vegetables to herbs, cheese, baked goods, fish and more. Additionally, every Saturday from July 7 to August 4, Land Yoga will be providing a free yoga class from 11:15-12:15.
